Possible Factors That Led To The Disappearance Of Mayans
In the era of advancements, there seems to be no ground on which research is not conducted, scientists are in their struggle to find answers to some pressing questions, the responses that can change the world we live in. The big question of today, revolves around infertility Oakville Ontario. Not surprisingly, this one has been answered in the form of IVF Oakville Ontario, but when one puzzle is answered, many other arise. One such pressing topic that is part of current research is to find out exactly how the Mayan civilization collapsed.
Incidentally, it was an ancient civilization that mastered architecture and other complicated concepts of astronomy and mathematics, much more than we do. Ironically, the civilization collapsed at the peak of its magnificence around 800 AD, their relics can be witnessed in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula to Honduras. It appears as if the complete civilization disappeared in an instant which left the cities, trade pathways and pyramids abandoned. The big question that bothers scientists is what led to the collapse of the great Mayan civilization? Well frankly, there is no straight forward answer but theories do exists. Some think drastic climatic alterations to be the only perpetrator while others believe human involvement to be an equal contributor. No matter what the reason was, it remains to be one of the greatest archeological mysteries of our era. Some people often wonder why the scientists are so willing to dig out solutions about the Mayan civilization when there are so many other ancient vanished civilizations in the world.
It is because the people of that period were skilled astronomers who constantly followed the motion of the sun and the moon. They had immaculate studies that predicted eclipses, revealed the movement of the planets and even went on to make three distinct complicated calendars. They had an immensely complex means for keeping a track of time.
The most interesting part of those calendars was the occurrence of the Long Count. Long Count is mainly the time from the start until the end of time. They attributed point zero to the instant when time will be up for the universe. And here is the kicker; their Long Count ends on 21-12-2012 which is just around the corner.
So now, you know why the scientists are struggling to find any remaining literature from the Mayan civilization. They believe there is a lot of credibility in their work. Those people knew a hell lot about stars and were able to calculate the exact span of a year to a thousandth of a decimal point, much more accurate than anyone ever did. Moreover, their deductions about the solar or lunar eclipse were bang on target. So when they say something is going to happen in 2012, one may not dare take it lightly. Even after scientists found that they were right or not, there still remains the puzzle of their sudden disappearance. Elongated droughts or abrupt climatic changes is not an answer good enough especially without scientific evidence.
